Start up your consoles for a night of epic themes and nostalgic vibes at Nerd Night—a live music concert celebrating soundtracks from your favorite video games, anime, movies, and other beloved nerdy media. Featuring a powerhouse three-band lineup including Dom Palombi’s Game Night, John Koozin and the Neighborhood, and Catbus Collective. Whether you’re a gamer, anime fan, film buff, or just love music, you’ll want to be part of the experience! While you enjoy the music, there are also pool tables, darts, free arcade consoles, and plenty of drinks! Come nerd out with us! 🤓🎵

The $25 music charge allows entry and access to the main music area and the chance to catch all 3 bands!

Catbus Collective

Catbus Collective is a seven piece jazz ensemble known for its unique re-imagining of Japanese anime, film and pop soundtracks. Founded by Jasper Shogo Dutz, the ensemble showcases the talent of AAPI musicians who share a collective interest in Japanese pop culture, fictitious lore and video gaming. Since their debut in fall of 2023, they’ve performed at numerous anime conventions, festivals, and venues including Kogaracon, Setsucon, Yukibana, Queens Public Library, Umbra, Wonderville, Red Pavilion, Clement’s Place, AAPI Jazz Fest, & Mid-Autumn Festival.

John Koozin and the Neighborhood

"John Koozin and the Neighborhood” is Koozin’s project as a bandleader, featuring some of his closest mentors and peers. Covering the songs, jazz standards, Hymns, as well as songs from film and cartoons, this band is inspired by the works of his mentors, as well as his own experiences teaching students in Sunnyside, Queens.

Dom Palombi’s “Game Night”

"Game Night" is a Funk-Fusion complication of some of the most nostalgic video game music soundtracks, and a few of Dom's original compositions, featuring some of the biggest names on the Internet and the VGM Community! With Sounds similar to Vulfpeck, Scary Pockets, Louis Cole, Snarky Puppy, and Lettuce. They have performed for Pax East, MagFest, and other major festivals in the tri-state area.
