Since their debut in fall of 2023, they’ve performed at numerous anime conventions, festivals, and venues including Kogaracon, Setsucon, Yukibana, Queens Public Library, Umbra, Wonderville, Red Pavilion, Clement’s Place, AAPI Jazz Fest, & Mid-Autumn Festival.

John Koozin and the Neighborhood

Covering the songs, jazz standards, Hymns, as well as songs from film and cartoons, this band is inspired by the works of his mentors, as well as his own experiences teaching students in Sunnyside, Queens.

Dom Palombi’s “Game Night”

"Game Night" is a Funk-Fusion complication of some of the most nostalgic video game music soundtracks, and a few of Dom's original compositions, featuring some of the biggest names on the Internet and the VGM Community! With Sounds similar to Vulfpeck, Scary Pockets, Louis Cole, Snarky Puppy, and Lettuce. They have performed for Pax East, MagFest, and other major festivals in the tri-state area.

Barnes Foundation (Philadelphia)

Info & Tickets: https://www.barnesfoundation.org/whats-on/first-friday-november-2025

Enjoy an evening of art, live music, film, cocktails, and light fare at our monthly First Friday mixer.

Tonight’s music and film screening are presented in partnership with the Philadelphia Asian American Film Foundation (PAAFF) as part of their annual film festival. The group offers a year-round platform for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander storytellers and their stories. Through film, art, and community engagement, PAAFF aims to uplift voices that reflect the richness, complexity, and resilience of the Asian and Pacific Islander diaspora.

Performances by the AAPI Jazz Collective, an ensemble of established AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander)-identifying jazz musicians and artists, will reimagine folk and classical songs from a wide array of Asian cultures within a jazz context. The collective has performed at the Lunar New Year Celebration at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New York Asian Film Festival, and the Red Pavilion in Brooklyn. Their debut album, Identity, was released through Origin Records in July.

Performances at 6:30 & 7:45pm
